Kommer att söka visum nu på måndag på visum centre här i Göteborg och åker den 4 maj till shanghai för att hälsa på en vän som studerar.

Jag har bara en fråga kring gamla pass när man söker visum? MÅSTE man ha med det eller får man ett utan det också? Och hur lång tid har det tagit för er som sökt tidigare visum?

Jag söker besöksvisum.

Enligt, visa for china så står det iaf ingenting om att man behöver ha med sig tidigare pass om man inte tidigare haft kinesiskt visum eller pass.

(1) Passport
Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and with blank visa pages, a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
(2) Visa Application Form and Photo
One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken colour passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a light background (size: 48mm x 33mm) attached.Click here for more info.
There are two ways to prepare your application form. You may complete an Online Application Form (where a Visa Centre provides such service), print it out and sign it; or, you can download the application form from our website and fill it out manually and sign it.
Please remember to bring the completed form to the Visa Centre to submit your application.
(3) Proof of legal status (applicable for those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship)
If you are not applying for a visa in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates of residence and population record extract(Utdrag om folkbokföringsuppgifter) from Swedish Tax Agency, photocopy of ID card, and employment or student status, and other valid certificates of legal stay provided by the relevant authorities of the country where the Visa Centre is located.
(4) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship).
If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide the last Chinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page.
If you have obtained Chinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change).

Jag förstår inte riktigt frågan, vad menar du med gamla pass? Du vet att ditt pass måste vara giltigt MINST 6 månader när du reser in i landet? När du söker visum måste du givetvis ha med dig ett giltigt pass. Vad gäller tiden så minns jag inte riktigt, det tog väl kanske 2 veckor innan jag fick visumet.

Okej ska försöka vara tydligare.

Jag fick höra att man behövde ha med sig sitt tidigare utgångna pass när man ansöker sitt visum utöver det nuvarande giltiga som man innehar. Vet inte om det fortfarande är så då jag inte kan hitta något om det?

Har väl ett 10-tal Kinavisum i bagaget, och aldrig hört talas om något sådant.

Däremot har de en fånig grej att man behöver visa en visumhistoria för att få längre visum. Jag kunde t ex inte få 1 års multi entry-visum direkt, utan var tvungen att ha först ett singel entry, sedan ett double entry. Efter det ett 6 månaders multi, sedan fick jag 1 års multi.

Kommer inte ihåg exakt, men något i den stilen. Möjligt att du har hört/läst något om detta och blivit förvirrad.

Frågan förvisso redan besvarad, men jag kam fylla i med att jag mycket nyligen fick kinesiskt visum utan mitt gamla pass. Inga problem.

Dom hade en tillfällig regel förra året där dom ville ha in dom gamla passen också, men den är borttagen nu.
