Dumaguete has good internet connection for corporate accounts, in fact "The fiber optic telecommunications backbone of the Philippines is located in Oriental Negros. As a result, the province boasts of state of the art telecommunications facilities. Its geothermal powerplants ensure stable supply of electricity" (source). It is therefore a "Fiber-Rich City."
It should therefore be having some of the best fiber optics and stable power supply..
...but on personal internet, I have no problem with skycable so far. i can use it even without redundancy as it is up, in my experience, i would say 98 percent of the time. Then there is the new Cruztelco broadband. so basically internet companies and usage here is growing.
