Finding the entrance to Hotel Volga II is half the battle. To help you out, take the doorway next to Leopold Café on Nawroji F Rd and follow the left-hand stairs to the first floor. There you'll find a miniature reception and a range of small, rather plain rooms with small shared or private bathrooms. More expensive rooms have tiny TVs and air-con. The appeal here is the combination of price (cheap) and location (super-central). Most of Colaba's best restaurants and bars are within a few blocks and it isn't much further to the Elephanta ferry or the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj museum. The boxrooms with shared bathrooms are fine for a few nights providing you don't get claustrophobic. If you're thinking about the more expensive rooms, also take a look at the nearby Apollo Guest House and Causeway Hotel.
