Regarding Surrey that was a few pages ago, it's not a crappy town as it's made out to be by some Vancouverites. East Hastings is far worse than anything that happens in Surrey. One thing that the poster doesn't mention is that Surrey is far larger than Vancouver in area and almost the same in population, yeah there is crime but it's predominantly gang related and rarely spills over into the law abiding citizen.
