Nej det är det inte! I have checked this, as Ive been to Finland twice. It does NOT renew your visa. It is a continuation of the first time you got it stamped...För dåligt!
Ok i don't know if this is due to the EU regulations, but Norway is a non-member country and it might be enough to renew your visa. And as a last resort you always have the UK, it's cheap to go and it will definitely extend your stay
