Ok i don't know if this is due to the EU regulations, but Norway is a non-member country and it might be enough to renew your visa. And as a last resort you always have the UK, it's cheap to go and it will definitely extend your stay
You need to go back to your home country to extend the visa. Country hopping does not help. I have a friend who had to go home to Australia from Sweden because of this.
